- Be sure to measure the depth of your mattress for a proper drop on the sides and bottom.
- Extra inches can be added to the bottom by pulling the quilt down and covering the difference at the top of the bed with shams and toss pillows.
- You can turn some quilts 90 degrees to better fit oversized mattresses, or balance the bottom and side drops. Check the design carefully - quilts with centered medallions and borders along the top edges are designed for specific mattress sizes.
- Buy a quilt one size larger to use as a bedspread with sides dropping to the floor for an elegant look. Select a design with a top pattern that drapes well over the edge of the bed.
- Be sure to check the size specification of each quilt as they vary from design to design.
- Quilts arrive tightly packed. Gently stretch the sides to loosen the fabric. Quilts will relax and get bigger after hanging on the bed for a while.
